While searching the internet we get an impression of what is already done. And we learn that there might be even more challenging questions to be solved like migration as a result of too hot areas on the world or food supply chain breaks because of broken transport ways, to name only two out of many more.
Fifith: We scoop and think.
It is important to be informed. Thinking is part of the job. No production without content.
Sixth: We sketch the city by observing it.
Sketching has been the most important tool in research and developing new ideas since the Renaissance. The sketch can project the future and handle the complexity of ideas on many levels. There are some rules to learn to sketch from the methodology of Sketch&Draw. They are easy to learn and apply in urban sketching.
Seventh: We sketch and develop ideas with the pencil from the bottom-up viewpoint as laypersons, citizens, tourists, dwellers, skateboarders, … because we know that sketching projects future.
Eighth: We create an idea sheet to hand over to the city.
Ninth: We make a 90-second film abstract because we know about the importance of storytelling.
