Sketching projects future

First: We inform us about the triggering climate change and the topic of climate adoption.

Here are two links out of many options to find on the internet:
Klimaszenarien für die Schweiz
17 Sustainable Development Goals

Second:  We do research and investigate the topics.

Here we work together with professionals from the news. To add one link, we choose this one, out of many other possible links: Are these solutions to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals?

Third: We create awareness of the needs regarding city planning for liveability in the future city.

Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly. More …

Fourth: We search for best practices all over the world.

While searching the internet we get an impression of what is already done. And we learn that there might be even more challenging questions to be solved like migration as a result of too hot areas on the world or food supply chain breaks because of broken transport ways, to name only two out of many more.

Fifith: We scoop and think.

It is important to be informed. Thinking is part of the job. No production without content.

Sixth: We sketch the city by observing it.

Sketching has been the most important tool in research and developing new ideas since the Renaissance. The sketch can project the future and handle the complexity of ideas on many levels. There are some rules to learn to sketch from the methodology of Sketch&Draw. They are easy to learn and apply in urban sketching.

Seventh: We sketch and develop ideas with the pencil from the bottom-up viewpoint as laypersons, citizens, tourists, dwellers, skateboarders, … because we know that sketching projects future.

Eighth: We create an idea sheet to hand over to the city.

Ninth: We make a 90-second film abstract because we know about the importance of storytelling.

Tenth: We share the experience in on the web and social media.
